The aircraft UR-82072 is part of the legendary Antonov An-124 “Ruslan” family — a fleet recognized for its massive lifting capacity and global mission profile. Operated by Antonov Airlines, this aircraft has served in heavy cargo operations across continents.
 
Following russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, Antonov launched the "Be Brave Like Ukraine" campaign — a symbolic project to honor Ukrainian cities that have shown extraordinary resilience and bravery during wartime.
 
Kherson, a strategic city in southern Ukraine, was the first major regional center captured by russian forces early in the invasion. For over eight months, the city and its people lived under brutal occupation. Despite this, resistance never ceased. On November 11, 2022, Kherson was heroically liberated by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, becoming a powerful symbol of defiance, hope, and national pride.
 
In honor of the city’s courage, UR-82072 received the inscription "BE BRAVE LIKE KHERSON" in late 2022. This message, proudly displayed on one of Ukraine’s aviation giants, continues to fly around the world, reminding all who see it of the strength and unbreakable will of the Ukrainian people.
